Following 12 weeks in the classroom, you will complete two years as a Master Gardener-in-Training, responding to questions from the public at clinics and guided by qualified Master Gardeners.
After successful completion of the classroom and volunteer components of the program, you will receive a certificate from VIU and become a qualified Master Gardener and member of VIMGA.
More information on the Master Gardener Basic Training Program is available here. You may also get information from any member of VIMGA at one of our clinics or seminars held most weekends during the gardening season.
